This kit has already received the recommended 24 hour Bleche-Wite soak and final wash and all the extraneous flash has been removed. All that you have to do is the final sanding, prime and paint the color(s) of your choice! A 3 piece interior with a slightly different seat pattern (see the builders guide sheet below) from the one shown and both windshield and rear window of vacuum formed clear plastic are included. Also included with your kit is a 2 page builders guide, printed on Kodak 45# gloss stock, showing all the available colors, including added Spring colors along with detail information covering colors of interior components. The Builders Guide is a great aid to help you select authentic colors and interior combinations for your finished model.
Shown below is an export version built in Canada for European customers in Pine Ridge Green over Meadowmist Green. You can easily modify your kit to match this car by shortening the front fender side moldings. |
The Resin Realm presents authentic automotive colors available for modelers in the lower 48 states only in 1 and 2 ounce bottles. These single stage Acrylic Enamels provide a high gloss finish without a clear coat. 1 oz. bottle $7.50 - 2 oz. bottle $12.50 "How do I know how much paint I'll need?" If you're going to do a TuTone paint job, a 1 oz. bottle of each color will usually do the job even if you've got very little experience with an air brush. If you're going to do a single color paint job a 1oz. bottle will do the job if you're an experienced modeler. If you've never used an air brush before, go with a 1 oz bottle only if you feel lucky...otherwise get a 2 oz. bottle just to be sure you've got enough from the same batch in case you need to spray on another coat. An order form for our paints is included with your kit allowing you to select any of the solid or two tone colors that were originally used on this car. Please note that all colors are approximate due to differences in monitors and the way systems and browsers interpret colors. All paints are mixed from original color charts of the era. Solid Colors available at Announcement. Spring Color Changes In the spring of 1956 the Nocturne Blue was discontinued. Meadowmist Green and Pine Ridge Green were replace by Spring Mist Green and Berkshire Green which eliminated all Metallics from the color choices. The Spring colors were available from March 1st through build-out. Two-Tone Colors at Announcement For Regular (top only) and FlowTone styles except
