For 58, Ford made minor styling changes to the front end. All other specifications remained basically the same. Real work truck versions were usually ordered with the white accents instead of chrome. Rich farmers (now believed to be extinct :-) ordered them with the chrome components, and usually with the optional rear bumper and spare tire. Ford dealers again sold 3rd party chassis kits and beds (usually 6 footers) to make tote trailers for golf courses and country clubs.

Colors available were Colonial White, Raven Black, Vermillion, Azure Blue, Midnight Blue, Seaspray Green, Gunmetal Grey, Goldenrod Yellow or Meadow Green.

This highly detailed 27 piece model, mastered by Curtiss Seeman, uses AMT/ERTL's 57 Ford kit as a donor. It comes in two versions, one with chrome bumpers, grill, parking lights and dog dish hub caps is $74.95, the other without chrome is $10.00 less. A pair of pewter door handles and gas capare also included. An 8 Foot bed, pictured below, is available instead of the 6 foot bed for $3.00 additional at time of order, or may be ordered separately for $14.95.

If you want to make a country club or golf course version out of yours, substitute this bed for the standard 6 footer which you can then turn into a tote trailer.
