The 57 Ford Panel Delivery was completely redesigned for 1957. While it wasn't a great deal larger than the 56's, it sure looked it with it's new boxier appearance. 8 colors were available in addition to white, which was also the prime color if you ordered the two-tone paint option. Fleets often ordered special colors which had to be boring for the workers if there were many of them.

There was only one interior color combination interior colors, tan and brown vinyl for the seats with brown hardboard door panels. A cargo compartment mat was availabe at extra cost in black, otherwise the floor was the same color as the rest of the vehicle.

This highly detailed 31 piece model, mastered by Curtiss Seeman, uses AMT/ERTL's 57 Ford kit as a donor. It comes in two versions, one with chrome bumpers, grill, parking lights and dog dish hub caps is $74.95, the other without chrome is $10.00 less. Three pewter door handles (2 right and 1 left), gas cap and 2 tail lights are also included.

You have some nice choices when building one of these, first off, many were produced without chrome bumpers and grills. The standard model used white paint in place of of the brightwork. In addition, The passenger seat, sunvisors and door armrests were optional and often were not installed in delivery vehicles. If you ordered the deluxe trim package, the vent windows were chrome plated, otherwise they were black. If you ordered safety package "A" you got a padded dash and sunvisors. Safety belts in black were also available. While a frame mounted spare tire carrier was standard, the spare itself was optional. Basic models came with only one tail light mounted on the left door, but you could order the other tail light if you wanted it.
